Kablay USA is still being built. The pro network for Southwest Washington is being assembled right now, so requests are collected but not yet routed automatically — and there is no phone line to call yet. Leave the job description and we will get back to you as coverage opens up.

Three steps, no phone tree
You describe the problem once. We do the qualifying, the licence check and the matching before anyone contacts you.
Describe the job — photos help, no calls needed.
We match 2–3 verified local pros who actually cover your address.
Compare, pick one, and rate the work when it is done.
Kablay Verified
The licence check happens before the pro sees your job
Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) publishes contractor records — but a public lookup does not tell you which credential your job needs, or whether it is still active today. That part is our job.
Verified prosThe business is matched to an active L&I record by UBI and legal name. Expired, suspended and out-of-business records never become a Kablay profile.
General contractors and specialty contractors carry different bond amounts. We show which one applies and when it was last confirmed.
Coverage is confirmed as active, not just claimed in a profile. High-liability trades such as tree work and roofing are re-checked more often.
The person answering the job is connected to the licensed business, so a licence number cannot be borrowed for someone else’s work.
An EV charger needs an electrical contractor, a repipe needs a plumbing contractor, a drainfield needs county certification. We resolve the requirement from the request, then release it only to pros who hold it.
Matching runs on the point, ZIP and drive time — not the city name. A Camas contractor is not sent to Woodland because both say “Southwest Washington”.
And then we keep score
Reviews are the easy half. The signals below come from what actually happens on the platform, and they decide who gets matched next time.
How often this pro answers a matched request at all.
Minutes, not days — measured separately for urgent and planned work.
The ticket range and job types this pro actually accepts and completes.
How often homeowners pick this pro once they see the response.
Verified completions on the platform, with cancellations counted against them.
The clearest quality signal a marketplace can observe.

Every badge carries the date it was last confirmed.
Service area
One market, six towns
Contractors here think in service radius, not city limits — most Vancouver pros already work Battle Ground and Ridgefield. Matching runs on the address, the ZIP and the drive time, so nobody gets sent 35 minutes north for a two-hour job by accident.

What makes this different
Rules we do not bend
Most lead marketplaces make money by selling the same phone number to as many contractors as possible. That is the part we are not copying.
A request goes to a short list of pros who fit it, and each of them is told how many others received it. Homeowners get a real choice; contractors do not pay for a contact that six competitors already bought.
You describe the job once, with photos if you have them. Pros come to you — you are not the one leaving voicemails on a Saturday.
Public records make a lookup, not a marketplace. A pro appears here only after they claim the profile and agree to receive work — a homepage counter of thousands of imported records would be a lie.
Where supply is still thin we say we are checking availability instead of promising three quotes in fifteen minutes. Trust is easier to keep than to rebuild.

Frequently asked
Is it free for homeowners?
Yes. Posting a job and comparing pros costs nothing. Contractors pay for access to the work.
How fast will I hear back?
The target is a first qualified response inside fifteen minutes for urgent work and an hour for planned projects. Where supply is still thin we tell you we are checking availability instead of promising quotes we cannot deliver.
How many contractors will contact me?
Two or three that fit the job. Not ten. Each of them knows how many others received the same request.
Do you verify licences yourself?
We match every business to its public Washington L&I record, check the credential the specific job requires, and re-check status on a schedule. Before you sign a contract, confirm the licence yourself — the L&I lookup is public and takes a minute.
Do you cover unincorporated Clark County?
Yes. Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek, Felida, Orchards, Brush Prairie, Hockinson and Washougal are all inside the working area, even though they are not on the city list.
Which languages do you support?
English and Russian across the whole site, with more to come as the local pro network grows.
Kablay is an independent marketplace. License, bond and insurance status is sourced from public Washington L&I records and re-checked regularly, but homeowners should always confirm credentials before signing a contract.
Describe the job. We will handle the rest.
It takes about two minutes, and you are never obligated to hire anyone.
